Speaker Bio:  Alan Cline, PMP, PMI-ACP, is currently a Consultant and Agile Iteration Coach,
and president of Carolla Development, a project management consulting
company.  Al has been in the software industry for almost 40 years, and a
process engineer consultant for the last 25. He also teaches BA, PM, PMP-prep
classes, and ACP-prep classes internationally. He has recently finished the
book Agile Software Development in the Real World on agile project
management practices for those new to agile so that they can deliver software
predictably with unusually low defect rates.

Previously, Al was the software engineering lead and iteration coach for a
$3.3M agile early-adopter project at Wright-Patterson Air Force base.  He
lectures for Ohio State University, and was the AVP of Nationwide’s
Requirements Center of Excellence.  As a consultant, he helps develop his
clients’ in-house processes, and works with upper management on the harder
problem of strategic deployment and cultural change for implementation.  Al
has helped his clients develop their own PMO’s and software development
roadmaps; companies like AEP, Columbus Metropolitan Library, CompuServe,
Nationwide, Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Department of Transportation,
Sterling Commerce, and the U.S. Air Force.

Al earned his M.S. in Physics and B.S. in Mathematics, both contributing to his
passionate zeal for rigor in software development and project management.
He was awarded the PMP in 2004, and the PMI-ACP in 2012, one of the first of
the accreditations from the PMI.
