Topic: High level overview of key BABOK topics and discussion on real world application of those topics/skills.

Speaker: Abdullah Oguz is a visiting lecturer at the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Cleveland State University. He taught three sections of Business Analysis in the Master of Information Systems program in Spring and Fall 2021 semesters. Besides, he taught Project Management, Advanced Systems Analysis and Design, and IT for Competitive Advantage courses to graduate-level students. He is starting as an assistant professor at Central Connecticut State University in Spring 2022 semester. He has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Prior to that, he worked as a senior member of the Projects and Technical Systems Department of the Turkish Customs Administration for 12 years. He was responsible for conducting needs assessment and preparing business cases, and planning and managing projects with a view to enhancing the law enforcement capacity of the Turkish Customs Administration. Besides government-funded projects, he was involved in projects with an overall value of more than $60 million. Specifically, he was involved in developing and implementing projects with regard to capacity building and improvement, cutting-edge IT systems, and state-of-the-art security systems in the field of customs law enforcement.
